I begin each piece with a found image from a strangers life. A multi-step process allows me time to reflect on what I’m seeing while introducing opportunities for chance and elements which I cannot control. My main motivation in both process and content is to reassure myself that I can be ok and find meaning from within the uncertainty of life.
Megan Magill is an artist based in Chicago and Brooksville, Maine. She received her BA in Humanities at the University of Colorado, her Masters from Northwestern University and her MFA from Maine Media College. Her work has been exhibited in group and joint shows nationally and she was recently a semi-finalist in the Print Center’s International Competition.
