Rooted in observation, memory and emotional response to place, Hopkins’ paintings are large, immersive and emotionally charged, characterized by sweeping brushstrokes, layered textures, and vibrant color palettes. She writes, “rather than depicting the landscape in a literal sense, my experiences are distilled into dynamic compositions that evoke the sensation of being within a place”.
